Still Keeping My Weight in Check

Weighed in this morning at 156 pounds.

Since my last blog post, which was over a month ago, I've been holding my weight between 150 and 160. Overall, that's good.

A week ago, my wife and I spend a week in Hawaii, celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. I suspected I would gain weight, and I did. But then again, I didn't want to spend the whole week worrying about my weight, and ruining the whole time for my wife.

But I still managed to mitigate the impact by electing to eat more salads. And instead of sweet drinks, I stuck with beer.

Also, our hotel on Waikiki Beach is so close to everything, that it didn't necessitate driving a car. We could walk everywhere, and that obviously helped a lot.

In fact, I wrote a blog post for my other diet blog, "How to Lose Weight on Vacation".

Well, after returning home from Hawaii, my weight was at 160 pounds. And I've lost four pounds since then.

I'm still eating a lot of beef jerky, but still eating a fair amount of fruits and vegetables too. So far, my diet regimen is largely the same as it has been for the past couple of years. And I'm happy with that. I could easily pig out just as before, but I seem to have gained more tolerance over that time.
