Lima Beans and Ham

Weighed in this morning at 155 pounds, down two pounds from yesterday.

Here's what I did yesterday to help shed those two pounds...

Morning: Two small whole wheat tortillas (160 calories)
Afternoon: Leftover lima beans and ham, two bowls (500 calories)
Mid-afternoon: One bottle of Fruit2O (0 calories)
Early Evening: One package, 170g, of blackberries (73 calories)
Evening: Five small celery sticks with hot sauce (10 calories)
Evening: One can of V8 Juice (70 calories)

Total: 813 calories

Exercise: I washed and detailed my motorcycle.

The leftover lima beans and ham was something my wife made the day after Christmas. She used up the leftover ham and carrots and mixed them in with some lima beans for a soup. There was about two bowls left. I'm not sure what the calorie content is for that, I'm just making a guess. But, it needed to be eaten before it went bad.

However, I was able to plan my calorie intake around that. I knew I'd be consuming a lot of calories and protein from the beans, so that I skipped the beef jerky for that day, and was still able to control my appetite and eat only low calorie snacks throughout the day.

As for exercise, washing and detailing a motorcycle doesn't sound all that strenuous, and I didn't think it would be either. But after I was done, I certainly felt like I had burned a lot of energy. I think it's all the bending over, crouching down, shining the chrome, and rubbing off the bug splatter.

Today I'm shooting for another diet day, hoping I can burn off another pound or two.
