Haven't Had a Hamburger For So Long

Weighed in this morning at 156 pounds, down two from yesterday.

Yesterday I felt good enough to get back into the swing of things and start writing more beef jerky reviews. But my wife wanted to us to eat out for lunch, since the flu bug that plagued us the last couple weeks prevented us from going out.

I ended up sticking to a salad bar, consisting of a large pile of spinach, about 12 cherry tomatoes, onions, all topped with three scoops of salsa. For my second trip, I had two scoops of cottage cheese, and three slices of pineapple. I washed it all down with two tall cups of iced tea.

That was enough to keep me feeling full for the most of the day. I drank down a bottle of Fruit2O in the evening.

I also jogged that morning, doing a mile, and then walking a mile. Then I did my full set of exercises, push-ups, crunches, sit-ups, and a variety weight-lifts for the arms, shoulders, and chest.

I was telling my wife how my food choices have changed so much. Whereas before we'd go to a buffet for lunch, I'd get fried chicken, mashed potatoes, pasta, meat loaf, ice cream, pizza, now I get spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, pineapple, cottage cheese.

I still want those other things, and I still love a bacon cheeseburger. It's just having lost this much weight, and exercised so much more, I feel a lot better inside, and stronger. It's like putting a greasy burger in me feels so backwards.

Today I'm in the mood for sashimi.
