Motorcycle Trip to Kernville

Weighed in this morning at 167 pounds, up two from Saturday.

I spent this past weekend on a motorcycle up to Kernville and back, about 500 miles of riding in all. I went with some friends, with the goal of riding Sherman Pass Rd, a narrow road that stretched over the southern Sierra Nevada mountains.

Following us was Tracy, a wife of one of the guys riding with us. She was following in her jeep, carrying a load of beer. The ride up there was blazing hot, and we were all sweaty and sticky. As ascended up the Sierra Nevadas, we found a shady spot by a pine tree, and drank down some ice cold ones. Temperature over the mountains was nice, probably 80s.

But once we got down the other side, it got hot again.

I posted some photos of the ride below.

But for the record, I ate and drank like a pig. I lost count how many beers I drank on Saturday, probably around 7 in all. I also had a margarita, and two cups of Jack & Coke. I managed to temper all that alcohol with a antipasta salad in the morning, some cookies in the afternoon, and then buffalo wings, and a plate of carnitas in the evening.

Sunday, I just had an omelette with fruit plus Diet Coke for breakfast. A couple bottles of beer in the afternoon, and then a chicken salad and a couple of margaritas in the evening.

I'd like to weigh in next Saturday morning at 163 pounds.
