Lost Five Pounds in One Day

Weighed in this morning at 170 pounds. Down five from yesterday.

Crazy. I gained 5 pounds on Saturday, and then lost 5 pounds Sunday. Looks like most of that weight gain was water.

I did my walk & jog this morning.

Yesterday I stuck to what I said, and had a salad. Wife and I went to a Sizzlers. I took a pile of spinach, added about 10 cherry tomatoes, some slices of cucumber, and some broccoli, and topped it with salsa. Then I had about 10 strawberries, a slice of pineapple, and some more cumcumbers. And a Diet Coke. That was my meal for the day, except for some bottles of water throughout the day, and the Dannon Activia at night.

I've been using salsa as a salad dressing substitute. It's a lot lower in fat, and still has all the sodium that makes salad dressings so good. Sizzer's salsa is actually pico de gallo, it's just diced tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, and salt.

But so far, I'm chalking up my recent weight losses to jogging in the morning. I'm estimating about 250 calories burned every time I go out. It's about 10 minutes of moderate jogging and 20-25 minutes of moderate-to-fast paced walking.
