Keeping Focused on Dieting

Weighed in this morning at 165 pounds, down one from yesterday.

Yesterday I stayed on the beef jerky diet eating 7oz of jerky, a serving of kefir, three bottles of water, and three bottles of Fruit2O. I did my 2-mile jog in the morning, and a 1-mile walk with the dogs in the evening, and 2 sets of push-ups, sit-ups, and crunches.

I didn't do any yard work yesterday. In fact, the whole day was spent in the office on my laptop.

Yesterday I had some people ask me about another website I publish on my local community. One guy I met while jogging stopped me to chat for awhile. He lives just a few blocks away and I learned that he and some other neighbors take it upon themselves to paint over graffiti. Another gal, a local realtor, asking about the website too, and then mentioned she wants to start a website similar to mine. Then I got some e-mails from other locals wanting to know if I was still alive.

They all tell me that they like the website and check it everyday to see what's new around town. My problem has been that when I do something, I lose track of everything else. It's not that I'm ignoring other things, it's that I just don't multi-task. I mean to keep everything going, but I'm just bad at managing stuff.

The other thing is that lately I've really focused on my exercise and dieting. Sometimes I sit here at my laptop feeling I want to get a membership at a fitness center, but I don't want to spend the money.

It's also apparent to me this dieting and exercise is something I have to do for the rest of my life. Last night, the urge to snack was quite strong. I managed to resist, but I did so by drinking some more lemon water. I wasn't necessarily hungry at that time, I still had been eating pieces of jerky all throughout the day. But things like ice cream, quesadilla, beer, kept dancing in my head.
