Diet Log - May 2, 2008

Weighed in this morning at 207 lbs. Down two more pounds from yesterday.

I sure enough had that pizza yesterday. It was a small pizza, with canadian bacon, onions, olives, and jalapenos. I also had what amounted to 5 cans of coke. But that was all I consumed that day.

I tried to make up for that pizza and coke by walking the dogs a little more farther than normal. I did about 4 miles. For about a 1/4 mile of that walk, I actually jogged. I can't remember the last time I jogged!

After a walk like that, I like to soak in a tub of hot water. I find that it really relaxes the muscles, and produces a good sweat.

I don't know exactly what sweating does to burn calories. But it's always a good thing when you can eat pizza and 5 cans of coke, and still lose two pounds.

This morning, my wife tempted me by asking me out for breakfast. I wanted to, but I remembered writing on this blog yesterday that I'd stick to the beef jerky diet today, and I wanted to get another review published. So, I said "no thanks".

So that's one good thing about writing this blog. By attracting a loyal audience, and being truthful in these diet logs, it's like having a second conscience to keep you on track.
